Keep on working
Jeanie Schulte Nordholt (1951) lives in Amsterdam, I met her near the Noordermarket. Jeanie: “My mother was American but I grew up in The Netherlands. Every year I go to New York for a couple of weeks together with my daughter. I run my own company, coaching people, since 17 years. I’m 66 years old now, but I decided to keep on working for a while.”
“I’ve always been interested in fashion. I’ve even been running fashion shows, not professional, but for designer friends and stylists. My own style can best be described as eclectic, I’m always looking for my own way in the big offer of clothes and sometimes my daughter gives me some advice. Today, I wear ‘nude’ shades, but I also have more colorful items in my wardrobe. In general, many earth colors, dark blue and black. And occasional I chose some striking colors. I love Scandinavian brands, like the designs of Baum und Pferdgarten, Mads Nørgaard, Modstrøm. And beautiful fabrics like silk, cashmere, and wool.”

‘I like to photograph as well, especially when I’m on vacation. Mainly nature photos or beautiful places in a city, for my Instagram account. Even after your 60th, it’s important to keep busy and discover new things. My motto is ‘Women over 60 don’t just have the past, we have a future’.
Accessories
“I love beautiful accessories. I often wear big rings. Unfortunately, I can not walk on high heels anymore. But there are plenty of alternatives, like these comfortable shoes by Rollie. Trousers by Anecdote, blouse by French Connection, coat by First of August, FoA. My bag is by Michael Kors.”
