“Recently I’ve watched a documentary about Iris Apfel and I was really impressed.
The way she combines expensive brands like Nina Ricci with vintage clothes
and for example plastic jewelry is just great.
Besides her extravagant style this she shows that, as long you stay healthy,
you can have several careers. You don’t have to stick to your first choice.
I started at the Conservatorium, majoring in vocals. But in the end I discovered it
wasn’t right for me.
Nowadays I do something completely different, I work as a Regional Director at LHH,
an international outplacement office. “We as 60plus women may no longer be natural beauties, but we can look gorgeous.
I don’t like people of my age looking ‘greige’, only wearing beige and grey clothes.
Don’t be afraid to show yourself! You can find lovely clothes in different price ranges.
And don’t forget to mix them with vintage.”
“I love big rings. The golden one is my wedding ring by Pomellato, bought in Florence.
The one made of plexiglass I found in Paris and the black one happens to be Italian
These tights I bought in an art shop, shoes are by Sandro.“
