one of the six leading ladies in the Advanced Style movie! >>>
What a great opportunity for me to meet this very elegant lady in New York.
Together with Sylvia of 40plusstyle.com and her photographer Denton Tayler,
we were invited for an interview and a photoshoot.
“I think style is the best reflection of who you are without having to say anything.
Style for me first of all is: less is more. For me I think simplicity is the way to go,
you can’t go wrong with simplicity.
You can change each look with accessories. I myself think the best way is starting
out with beautiful lines and then adding wonderful accessories.
I enjoy observing others styles, young people are coming up with
fabulous ideas, it’s very exiting. I like that and experimenting brings progress.
But for myself… I love the styles of the late thirties and the early forties.
I love films of the late thirties and early forties with Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire,
showing a marvelous style. Well, those were the days of film and the days of clothes.
So for me, I adore the oldies. I think somehow they will always be in fashion.
My style hasn’t changed. I stick with it, maybe I’ve changed the colors of my accessories a
bit, but basically I’ve remained the same. I’m the woman with the braids and the pearls.”
What a Woman fantastic.
