the Festival Design Kwartier ….
in The Hague. The festival at the Zeeheldenkwartier has been organized for the
second time. There are lot of design, vintage and brocante shops in this neighborhood.
That ‘s why it is so special.

Kunstenares Birgit Laken. Birgit (1948) is designer of jewelry,
like the necklace she’s wearing.
During this festival she showed at Engelien how she makes 3D
rings and necklaces.
“This tunic is an old one, socks and trousers I bought
at V&D.
Shoes are vintage by Jette“.

“Years ago I bought this jacket during sale. I often wear second hand clothes. My favorite garment
is a knitted, red and soft coat with short sleeves.
Wearing it I always make a combination with orange beads. It makes me still happy.”

Last but not least: Karen Persson (1951) was born in California. She lives and works in the Hague for years now.
Karen is an artist, she is a painter of portraits and landscapes.
“People often think this is an original Chanel jacket. Unfortunately it isn’t.
But, my sunglasses are!”.
